Donald Trump is a catalyst for anger. Victor Davis Hanson offers a conservative opinion on the eventual consequences from the over-reaction from the “Left”. Hanson states, “the [Left’s] answer to Trump is neither liberal nor progressive, but nihilistic”. Dictionary.com defines nihilism as “the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless”.
Hanson believes that on moral issues such as the right to life, criminal justice, immigration, and the economy the conservative agenda is leading the country in a positive direction. We could do more in education and market development. Some may disagree with Hanson, but most would agree that well thought-out policies require a hopeful vision for the future and reasonable bipartisanship. According to Hanson, the current solutions being offered by the “Left” are neither.
