The myth of the Dark Ages? Mike Keas develops an argument far from a Christian Dark Ages, science and universities came out of faith communities. Schools of reason, physical science, biology, and mathematics were prevalent in the Church. Keas sums up, “Although labeling any age with a single descriptor is problematic, the so-called Dark Ages would be far better labeled an ‘Age of Illumination’ or even an ‘Age of Reason’”. We have much to thank God about perhaps none more than our ability to look at His creation with awe and wonder.
